As the country prepares for the 2027 general elections, a Group under the auspices of Onward All Progressives Congress (APC) Christian Soldiers for Tinubu/Bago, Niger state Chapter has called on Christians to prepare to vote Governor Umaru Bago if they must get more appointments.

While speaking to our Correspondent, the Coordinator of the Group, Arc. Kolo Solomon said efforts are being made to garner 200 new supporters per local government area.

According to Kolo “the entirety of the Christian community in Niger State is with Governor Bago. We will work, mobilize, pray and vote for him so that come 2027, he receives 100% of the Christian votes in this State.

“Our immediate plan is to get 200 new supporters per LGA per month across 25 LGAs, this structure is designed to add about 5,000 committed supporters to the cause every month”.

He however decried the inactive participation of Christians in the state saying “over the years, Christians have been lagging behind in terms of elective positions. Participation is key and if you do not participate actively you may not be able to demand for positions.

“We plea for more appointments of Christians and our inclusion into the campaign council of the Governor.”

Kolo further declared that “today, we stand to declare without fear, hesitation and apology our support for Governor Umaru Bago and President Bola Tinubu and the three Senatorial candidates in the state.

“We are working with equal commitment for the flag bearers of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in all three senatorial zones of Niger State, because a winning team must win in every contest.”

He then called on Christians in the state who have their PVCs, to check their names on the register, speak to their neighbours to vote APC from top to bottom and pray for our leaders.
