Tudun Wada Youth Forum Mourns Death of UniJos Physics Professor, Emmanuel Mangset

The Tudun Wada Youth Forum has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Professor Emmanuel Mangset, describing him as a distinguished academic, community developer, mentor, and steadfast supporter of youth development.

In a condolence message signed by Timchang Wisdom on behalf of the Youth Leader, Goshit Maxwell Daniel, the forum said Professor Mangset’s passing has left a huge void in the Tudun Wada community and beyond.

The forum noted that the late professor dedicated his life to the growth and development of society through his contributions to education, community service, and youth empowerment.

According to the statement, Professor Mangset’s wisdom, selfless service, and unwavering support for young people positively impacted countless lives, making him a respected figure within and outside the community.

The youth body described him as a pillar of encouragement who consistently devoted his time, knowledge, and resources to advancing the progress of Tudun Wada and its people.

“His passing is a great loss not only to his family but also to our forum, the community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him,” the statement read.

The forum further stated that Professor Mangset’s leadership qualities, commitment to humanity, and passion for community development would remain an enduring legacy for future generations.

It extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones, praying for strength, comfort, and peace during the period of mourning.

The group also prayed for God to grant the late professor eternal rest and reward him abundantly for his lifetime of service and good works.

Until his death in the early hours of Saturday, May 30, 2026, Professor Mangset was the Head of the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Jos.

The forum noted that his contributions to academia and community development earned him the admiration and respect of many people across different walks of life.

Members of the Tudun Wada Youth Forum said they would continue to cherish his mentorship, guidance, and dedication to the welfare of the community.

They described his death as a painful loss but expressed confidence that his legacy of service and excellence would continue to inspire generations.

The statement concluded with a prayer for the peaceful repose of his soul, saying his contributions to humanity would never be forgotten.
