With few weeks left into the proposed All progressive congress Primaries, Honourable Emmanuel Bako has back out of the Senate race.
Stating his reasons for his withdrawal from the race at a press briefing on Sunday , he said it was hinged on fairness ,support for unity , and justice.
Honourable Emmanuel Bako ,a season politician and a professional businessman, was aspiring to contest the primary election for the Nasarawa West Senatorial zone, but had to withdrew his interest based on principles and inline with the noble ideology after a wide consultation with leaders ,stakeholders and political associate.
He stated that” I have taken the most difficult and painful but necessary decision to formally withdraw from the Nasarawa West Senatorial race.
” This decision is informed by the current political realities, alignment and the need to promote unity ,fairness and strategic balance within our great party .The recent endorsement of Distinguished Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu as the preferred gubernatorial aspirant by our leader His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, the aspirant I’m incidentally hails from the same federal constituency as I do, I believe it is in the best interest of equity ,justice and in the spirit of brotherhood” He pointed .
The former Senate aspirant further clarified that the decision though not made lightly it is a sacrificial one rooted in party discipline, respect for constituted authority, and a firm belief that the collective interest of the party and the state must always supersede individual aspirations.
Accordingly , Emmanuel Bako said he has offered his full ,unreserved and unequivocal support to the endorsed governorship aspirant ,Senator Ahmed Wadada as successor of the Nasarawa State Governor come 2027.
He called on all members of his campaign structure ,the coordinators at all wards, local government and the zonal levels ,youth mobilizers ,women groups to immediately aligned with the consensus arrangement and endorsement.
“I urged us to collapse all our structures into that of the party’s governorship candidate , senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu and our president Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and let’s work tirelessly for their victory come 2027” Bako posited .
Emphasizing that history teaches us that enduring leadership is not only defined by the positions we occupy ,but by the sacrifices we make in critical moments such as this.”Today ,we choose unity over rivalry, loyalty over personal ambition and unnecessary tension over division” He said.
