Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Saturday inaugurated the Campaign Council to drive his 2027 Senatorial ambition for Nasarawa North Senatorial District.
The inauguration, held at his campaign office at Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) drew APC chieftains, stakeholders, and party faithful from Akwanga, Nassarawa-Eggon and Wamba, KFAs that make up the senatorial zone.
Sule announced the members of the campaign council to include; Sen. Philip Gyunka, Chairman of the campaign council, Bala Moses-John, Director-General (DG), and Aliyu Safiyanu-Maizuma, Secretary of the campaign council.
Others are Timothy Anjide, Chairman of the campaign advisory committee, Adamu Tanko-Umar, Director of Administration and Finance, Dr Justina Kotso, Director of Women Mobilisation, Dr Kassim Muhammad-Kassim, Director of Youth Mobilisation, and Mukthar Wakeel, Director of Media and Social Media.

The governor explained that his decision to contest was due to the clarion calls by various stakeholders as well as his desire to continue serving the people at the federal level after completing his two terms as governor on May 29, 2027.
“My administration has laid a foundation for peace, infrastructure, and industrial growth. I believe Nasarawa North deserves a strong voice in the Senate to consolidate these gains and attract more federal presence,” Sule stated.
The governor further said that the team was also to deliver President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Ahmed Wadada, his preferred successor and all the candidates of the APC in the 2027 general election.
Sule expressed confidence in the members of the committee given their vast experiences and characters to lead him to victory in the primaries and to lead the party to victory in 2027.
On his part, Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), and Chairman Akwanga LGA said that the governor had proven that he is indeed a worthy son of Akwanga and the zone in the last seven years.

Isa-Andaha explained that the people from the zone would reward the governor with a senatorial seat in 2027 giving the kind of development the state and the zone witnessed under his stewardship.

Responding on behalf of the campaign council, Bala Moses-John, DG of the campaign described the governor as a global player who had localised the implementation of his vision for the development of the state.
He said that the state is fortunate to have Gov. Sule at the helm of affairs at this time adding that the state had witnessed and is still witnessing resounding achievements in all sectors of the economy, much more than it ever did since creation.
Moses-John added that Sule is a tested leader with capacity, integrity, and a development mindset needed in the senate to give a voice to the state and the zone.
He explained that the campaign council have 10 directorates and structures across the 35 electoral wards and 586 polling units in the zone to deliver the governor and the party in 2027.
The DG explained that they would run an issue-based, inclusive, and peaceful campaign that reflects the values of the APC.
“We are to reach every ward, every polling unit, and every home. Tell our people what the governor has done and what he intends to do for Nasarawa North in the Senate. We are not going to insult anybody. Our record will speak for us,” he said.
He also promised that the campaign team would work for the success of President Bola Tinubu, Ahmed Wadada, preferred Governorship Aspirant of the party,r and all the candidates of the party in 2027. (NAN).
