The Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended its National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, for empowering youths across the state with cash and equipment worth millions of naira.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Plateau State APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Wumanna Bako, the party described the initiative as a significant contribution to youth development and economic empowerment in Plateau State.
The empowerment programme, held at the Tamarald Event Center in Jos, attracted key stakeholders, including the APC National Chairman and his wife, the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, and other top government officials. The state party chairman was represented at the event by the deputy chairman.
Speaking during the event, Prof. Yilwatda commended President Bola Tinubu for his continued support to Plateau State, noting that the current administration’s policies have positively impacted the state.
He urged residents of Plateau to support the President’s administration and work towards his re-election in 2027, emphasizing the need for continuity to sustain ongoing development efforts.
A major highlight of the programme was the symbolic presentation of cheques and equipment to beneficiaries. The recipients expressed appreciation for the gesture and pledged to utilize the resources productively to improve their livelihoods.
