Hon. Solomon Nandy Chendan, governorship aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has expressed deep sorrow over the recent tragic attacks in Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a condolence message made available to newsmen, Chendan described the attacks as “senseless acts of violence” and strongly condemned the killings, noting that such brutality has no place in society.
“I am deeply saddened to hear about the tragic attacks in Barkin-Ladi LGA. My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the affected communities,” he stated.
Hon. Chendan who is a security expert, also extended sympathy to the people of Bassa local government area over yesterday night attack among other attacks in the state.
The 2023 ADC governorship candidate and 2027 aspirant stressed the need for unity, peace, and justice in the wake of the incident. He called on citizens and relevant authorities to work collectively toward ending the cycle of violence in the state.
“It is imperative that we stand together to demand peace and justice for the innocent lives lost,” he added.
Chendan also offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased, comfort for grieving families, and speedy recovery for those injured in the attacks.
He expressed hope that the affected communities would find strength and solace during the difficult period.
Reaffirming his commitment to a safer Plateau, the ADC chieftain urged residents to remain steadfast in the pursuit of lasting peace and security across the state.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Plateau State. Together, let us strive for a future where such tragedies are a thing of the past,” he said.
