NASWAMSA Replies NATA’ALAH: “We Operate by Law, Not by Cronies”

The management of Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA) has dismissed allegations that the agency is not meeting its mandate, describing them as baseless and ignorant.

In a statement, NASWAMSA explained that it operates under a law enacted by the State Assembly and is guided by the governor .

The agency emphasized that its employment and salary payment processes are overseen by the state government.

The management highlighted recent achievements, including the employment of over 60 casual staff into the mainstream civil service, who will become pensionable staff in the future. Additionally, the agency has received approval for the purchase of trucks to enhance its services across all local government areas.

NASWAMSA warned NATA’ALAH WASTE FACILITY a contracted company, against attempting to undermine the agency’s operations, stating that it will not be swayed by external influences, or hike they failed to deliver on a over #7 million contract regardless of the profile of its sponsors.

The agency reiterated its loyalty to the executive governor and emphasizing that it operates is within the bounds of the law.

“We are a government establishment, operating by law and loyal to the executive governor of the state via the commissioner of environment,” the statement read. “Our operational method cannot be outside the views of government.”

“NATA’ALAH WASTE is only interested in payment for a job they failed to execute and in connivance with their cronies who wants to take advantage in the agency to recruiting their family and friends ,this is not acceptable as the management is focus on delivering the set out mandate by the state governor.
