I recall that I was with you on your last visit to see your beloved mother, Nana Lydia Yilwada, at JUTH on Friday 15th August 2025, not knowing it was a divinely arranged last encounter for you and her. Two days later, she transited to glory!
Though death is a cessation of physical company and intimacy, Nana Lydia’s life and time deserve to be celebrated after 83 years of fruitful and blessed sojourn on earth. Her life gave our nation and generation a man of your stature and standing (Prof. Nentawe Yilwada), an erudite scholar, accomplished technocrat and a leading figure in the political landscape of today’s Nigeria.
Furthermore, Nana Lydia’s Christian missionary works together with her husband, and your late father, Rev Yilwada, impacted many people who were prepared not only for earthly exploits but for a secure eternity in Christ Jesus.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies, and may the memories of your mother’s love, care, discipline, wisdom, and legacy continue to inspire and guide you in your personal and public life.
May the Lord comfort you, the immediate family, Ngas nation, Plateau state and all men and women of goodwill across Nigeria and diaspora as we pray the Lord to grant our mother and grandmother Nana Lydia eternal rest, amen.
