Ramadan: Gov. Sule Urges Muslims to Feed Less Privilege 

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has encouraged Muslims to use their resources to feed the less privileged in the society.

Governor Sule stated this while speaking during the joint 2025 Ramadan lecture organized by NBS, NTA and FRCN with the theme: The Virtue of Ramadan; The Gift of Humanity held in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.

The Ramadan lecture, with the Topic” the Ramadan gift of Humanity organized by the 3 media organizations, brought together Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, politicians as well as students.

Governor Abdullahi Sule encouraged Muslims to sacrifice their resources to feed the poor in the society, adding that generosity is one of the lessons attached with the month of Ramadan.

While describing the act of given out in the month of Ramadan,Governor Sule said feeding the less privileged in the special month opens more opportunity on the life any Muslim who uses his resources to feed to attract more blessings from Allah.

The Governor explained that God frowns at those who don’t use their resources to support the less privileged people, urging the attendees to use the abundant opportunity of the month.

Congratulating the 3 media organizations for organizing the event, Governor Sule announced that President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has donated 30,000 bags of Rice to be shared among the people in the spirit of Ramadan with 2,300 bags to be shared equally across each of the 13 local government areas.

According to the governor Sule, a committee will be set up comprising the chairmen of the local government areas,traditional and religious leaders who will do justice in the distribution of the Rice to their subjects.

Commenting on behalf of the 3 media organizations,The Executive Vice Chairman of Nasarawa Broadcasting service NBS Lafia, Malam Awwalu salihu described the event as symbol of peace and unity in the state 

Also Speaking on the Topic”Ramadan Virtues:The Gift to humanity, professor Tanko Aliyu Baitullah professor of Quranic studies, department of Islamic studies federal University of Lafia highlighted some benefits gained in the month of Ramadan which come with abundant blessings to include mercy, engagement with the Quran and generosity on the lives of any Muslims 

He said Ramadan teaches forgiveness, closeness to Allah, emotional stability and unity of purpose action and direction.

In his vote of thanks,the commissioner of information,culture and Tourism Doctor Ibrahim Tanko appreciated the organizer of the event, urging them to sustain the spirit for the peace and unity of the state.
