
Plateau State Government has been urged to ensure all palliatives reaches down to Muslims at grassroot levels across the State.
The urge was made by the Secretary-General, Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, Eng. Mansour Salihu Nakande, at the annual 55th Eid-el-Maulud celebration held Monday at the premises of the Jos Central mosque, organised by Ittihadu Anwaril Hidaya.
Eng. Nakande who is the traditional title holder of the Makaman Jos, said they have been hearing that government have been giving out palliatives but most of the Muslim community are not getting their share.
“We are calling on the Government to implore the means and ways at which the Muslims at grassroots will get whatever palliatives it is giving out. We will continue to ensure that whoever is to represent us in government is a person that will cater for our people,” he said.
Eng. Nakande admonished Muslims to always adhere to the true teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad SAW’s values and virtues, of peace, forgiveness, compassion, peaceful coexistence with all manner of people.
He further called on the to make sure they vote a candidate of their choice at the further coming October 9th, 2024 Local Government Council general election.
The Chairman Ittihadu Anwaril Hidaya, Malam Yusuf Yahaya, said now that the national Almajiri Commission, is fully operational, it is their expectations that Islamiyya schools under their watch would benefit from the workings of the Commission.
“Islamiyya schools under our watch, are well organised as conventional secondary schools are, therefore it is our expectations that all rights and benefits going into Almajiri tsangaya schools from the Commission, should also come to our support,” he urged.
Malam Yusuf, commiserated with victims of flood disasters across Nigeria, particular, that of Maiduguri, while praying Allah to forgive the souls of those that lost their lives.
