The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA has sympathized with victims of recent flood across the country.
President of the Church, Rev. Dr. Job Bagat in a statement personally signed by him and issued to Journalists in Jos, the Headquarters of the Church, described the incident as catastrophic.
He said, “On behalf of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), I wish to express our heartfelt condolences and unwavering support to the communities across Nigeria affected by the recent catastrophic flooding.
“As reports of widespread devastation emerge from states including Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and others, we stand united in mourning for those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones.
The Church spiritual leader noted that the impact of the natural disaster has been profound, and that their thoughts and prayers are with the countless families grappling with the aftermath.
“Standing alongside our brothers and sisters, especially those who have been displaced and are in dire need of immediate assistance, we call on relevant government authorities, NGOs, religious bodies and well-to-do individuals to embark on providing emergency supplies such as food, water, clothing, shelter, and medical assistance to the affected areas.” The statement added.
He, further, implore the government and humanitarian organizations to prioritize recovery efforts and provide the necessary resources to rebuild the devastated communities and put preventive measures to safeguard them against future occurrences.
” I enjoin all and sundry to embody the spirit of support and resilience that defines our shared humanity. I pray that those affected may find immediate relief and solace in their faith in God during these trying times of their lives.
