The comrade Alhassan Yahaya consultative team has received with grief and shock the news of the kidnapped of members of the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ and their families in the State,
This was contained in a statement by Comrade Alhassan Yahaya consultative team and made available to Daily News Breakers on Sunday.
The Statement further enjoined security agencies to work round the clock and expedite actions for the immediate release of the kidnapped Journalists and their families unconditionally.
Comrade Alhassan expressed deep shock on the sad development, noting that it is unbecoming to attack and kidnapped a practicing Journalists while undertaking their legitimate duties.
While describing the incident as a tragedy, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya the Presidential Aspirant of Nigeria Union of Journalists, said “we will not relent in our efforts until we got them freed and reunited with their families”.
It could be recalled that Comrade Abdulgaffar Alabelewe who is the Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna State and Correspondent of “The Nation Newspaper” was kidnapped along with three of his family members last night at Danhono 2, Millennium City, Kaduna and later around that time Comrade Abdulraheem Aodo of Blueprints Newspaper was also kidnapped alongside his wife.
“We pray for their immediate release.” The statement added.
