The Lawmaker representing Barkin Ladi Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon.Dickson Chollom, has appealed to the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and all spirited individuals to come to the aid of victims of violence rainstorm in his constituency.
The member made the appeal when he visited the affected community in Foron, on Thursday, to identify with them over the natural disaster.
Hon. Dickson Chollom who sympatised with those whose property were affected promised to assist them and also reassured the people of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s led administration’s commitment in seeing that citizens of the state enjoy good governance and dividend of democracy.
The community leader Mr. Yusuf Pam appreciated the lawmaker for visiting and sharing in their pains following the unfortunate incident which befell them.
Mr Yusuf Pam appealed for assistance for his people stressing the need for emergency assistance considering the hard economy, and the fact that most of their belongings have been destroyed by the rainstorm.
Several residential houses as well as St. Peter’s Catholic Church were affected by the violent rainstorm.
It could be recalled that residents of Ratt in Foron District of Barkin Ladi local government Area of Plateau state were affected by rain storm, which occurred on Wednesday 22nd may 2024.
