
Tudun Wada Community in Jos North local government area of Plateau State has elected Mr. Yohanna Kutwal as chairman of the Tudun Wada Community Development Association.
In a keenly contested election which was held at Paul Gindiri building in the community on Saturday, Mr. Kutwal defeated the acting Chairman of the Association, Mr. Lawrence Jick.
Mr. Kutwal polled 91 votes to defeat Mr. Lawrence who scored 67 votes in the chairmanship position.
Declaring the election results, the Electoral Committee Secretary, Mr. Sunday Jugu who stood in for the chairman, declared that Mr. Yohanna Kutwal, having polled the majority of total votes cast, is return elected as Chairman of Tudun Wada Community Development Association.
Other positions contested in the election were that of Vice Chairman and Secretary where Mr. Ishaya Njin gave a distance votes of 99 to beat Mr. Adamu Abdulmalik who got 59 votes to becomes the Association’s Vice Chairman.

There was a tie between the two candidates for the secretary position, as both Mr. Ritkopba Bitrus and Mrs. Chalya Wuyep scored 79 votes each. The electoral committee secretary announced that they will get back to the delegates on any decision reached regarding the position.
Other positions were unopposed and has Mr. Akpa Monday as Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Lochit Andrew as Treasurer, Mr. Tadyum Jude as Financial Secretary and Mr. Bindul Pirmak as Public Relations Officer (PRO1).
Others are, Mr. Haruna Auwal as PRO 2, Mr. Dachung Gwong as Auditor 1, Hafsat Pam as Auditor 2, Mr. Wangkatda Sati as Director of Social and Mr. David Jerry as Director of Research and Documentation.
Responding on behalf of the new leadership, the chairman elect, Mr. Yohanna Kutwal appreciated the Electoral Committee, his co-chairmanship contestant, Mr. Lawrence Jick and all the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and other officials. He solicited for their support and prayers as he pledged that with their support they will work assiduously to attract development to the community.
The delegates for the elections where Community Development Association Chairmen and Secretaries, Youth Leaders and Youth Secretaries of all the 38 units that formed the Tudun Wada Community Development Association.
