Ombugadu Registers 13,000 Nasarawa Indigence into NHIS

Mr David Ombugadu, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the 2023 elections has registered 13, 000 indigence people of the state into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Ombugadu made the disclosure while addressing a mammoth crowd of his supporters that welcomed him home after the Judgment of the Supreme Court on Thursday in Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

According to him, the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve the living health conditions of the people especially the vulnerable.

Ombugadu explained that he has already made payment for a one year period for the beneficiaries as part of his campaign promises, even though he is not the governor of the state.

He added that 1000 beneficiaries were drown from each of the 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state,  totally 13, 000.

Ombugadu further said that he has paid N195 million for the beneficiaries to assess services for one year.

He therefore promised to register 13, 000 indigence people every year into the scheme to reduce the effects of the harsh economic condition.

On the judgment of the governorship dispute of the state by the Supreme Court, the PDP candidate expressed gratitude to the people for their support throughout the period.

He also thanked the people of the state for thier support at the poll and promised to continue to identify with them in the moments of their needs with a view of assisting them.

He therefore, appealed to the people to continue to support all candidates of PDP because of their determination to improve the fortunes of the state and the country. (NAN).
