Legionnaires in Jos East assured of better Days Ahead

Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos East Local Government Area, Markus Usaini Nyam has assured legionnaires within the area of better days ahead.

He gave this assurance during the 2024 edition of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration and Emblem Appeal week Fund raising held at the MDGs Hall premises, Angware, headquarters of the local government area.

This according to him, is to cushion the  effect of the sacrifices rendered during their active service to the Nations.

The TIC Chairman applauded the dogged and resilience of the Nigerian Fallen Heroes and the living veterans for their relentless sacrifices during the first and second World Wars, Nigerian civil War and other peace keeping missions abroad.

Chief Usaini Nyam while announcing a  donation of five hundred thousand naira for the upkeep of the Legionnaires, widows and Orphans of the deceased Soldiers, called on all and sundry to donate generously towards their plight.

He used the occasion to thanked God for answered prayers of the people of Jos East and Plateau State at large which led to the reinstatement of mandate of the leader of “the time is now” administration on the Plateau, Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Apex Court.

He assured that the time is now for the electorate to feel the positive impact of the Mutfwang led administration in its quest of consolidating on the developmental strides already begun.

On his part, Chairman Nigerian Legion in the area, Warrant officer Azi Yohanna Ajang (RTD) commended successive administrations and solicited the present Government’s support in the aspect of fertilizer, employment for their children and sponsorship for pilgrimage among others.

In a Royal blessing, the Paramount Chief of the Afizere Nation, Rev Dr Isaac Azi Wakili, through the District head of Shere, Ada John Haruna called on Government and the masses to close ranks and  ensure , peace, unity and progress of the land even as he advices the Legionnaires not to relent in making effort for livelihood.

There were special prayers by the representatives of CAN Rev. James Largum and JNI Mallam Garba Isa, laying of wreath, drills by the Boys Brigade Nigeria and Match past by the Legionnaires and their wives.
