Jos East Council Boss, others Confers with Traditional Titles

Six worthy sons of Shere Isha, Dabo and Kauri Villages in Shere District have been conferred with various Traditional tittles.

They are Transition implementation Committee Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Chief Markus Useini Nyam, who was conferred with the title of Sarkin Yaki Worrior).

Others are Chief Ishaya Ajang Dabo (Waziri), Chief Ezra Itse Yusuf (Sarkin Pada), Chief Izang Bako (Turaki), Chief Yakubu Itse Izang (Ubandoma), and Chief Daniel Mato ( Danmasani), respectively.

Performing the turbanning during a brief but colourful ceremony at his palace, Shere, the Village head of Shere Isha, Dabo and Kauri, Adagwom Itse Izang revealed that their selection was based on tract records of achievements in the growth and development of Shere in particular and Afizere Nation at large.

He further called on them to proof more proactive, resilience and dedication to the upliftment of the community to greater heights, while pointing out that the Traditional Council would continue to recognise those who excel in that regard.

Responding on behalf of the new tittle holders, Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Chief Markus Useini Nyam, expressed their overwhelming joy over the honour by the traditional Council, stressing that even though the task ahead of them is enormous, but pledged their unwavering support and loyalty to the Traditional Council and the Community to thrive.

Good will messages came from Commissioner for Commerce and Industry,  Plateau State, Hon. Musa Sule, ALGON Chairman, Plateau State who doubles as Transition Implementation Committee Chairman Wase Local Government Council. Alhaji Hamisu Anani, Hon. Chief Kemi Nicholas Nshe, Transition Implementation Committee Chairman, Shendam Local Government Council, flanged by their counterparts from Bokkos, Barkin Ladi and Lantang North, Hon Chief, Monday Kassah, Hon.Danjuma Dakim, Hon Godwin Nanmwa Kumzhi, and Others as well as Directors of Jos East LGC among other prominent Sons and Daughter of the Land.

Highlights were Coronation, Presentation of certificates, Reception and Various Traditional dance groups among prayers and blessings by Clergy and Elders.
