
Mr Salisu Galadima, Chairman, Football Association (FA) in Nasarawa State has promised to sponsor 15 Coaches to professional training in fulfilment to his campaign promises to promote sports development in the state.
The FA Chairman made the disclosure while receiving officials and members of the state Sports Writer’s Association (SWAN) on Saturday in Lafia.
He also promised to sponsor Referees in the state to professional training as well way of promoting sports holistically for better performance.
“If you go round the state, you hardly can find certified Coaches and Referees, so we will change the narrative.
“We will not just promote players, but management and officials as well for optimal results,” he added.
He explained that already, the state FA had received nominations of coaches and referees to be send on the professional courses from the FA Chairmen of the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
He said very soon they would be send on the training in Abuja to update their knowledge and get certified.

Galadima also said that the association would ensure robust sports development in the state and promote young talents discover to national and international scene.
The FA Chairman said that election was over and he had since settled down and would work with everybody irrespective of thier decisions before and during the election.
“I am a Chairman of everybody now, weather a person supported me or not because for me to succeed I need to carry everyone along.
“I am assuring you today that SWAN will be involve in all the activities of FA in the state as you know I am one of you,” the FA Chairman added.
He also promised to donate a set of quality Jersey to the football team of SWAN.
Earlier, Isa Mohammed, Chairman of SWAN in the state congratulated the FA Chairman on his election and advised him to carry the association along.
The SWAN Chairman assured him that the association would support him to succeed through adequate reportage of sporting events and activities. (NAN).
