Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has assembled brilliant, highly experienced individuals with proven integrity and expertise as commissioners and special advisers to help in driving his administration’s vision.

This is contained in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public affairs, Comrade Peter Ahemba on Tuesday in Lafia.

According to him, general public should disregard unfounded insinuation in some quarters suggesting that, gov Sule, is deliberately delaying the appointment of commissioners and special advisers pending the outcome of the governorship election petitions tribunal.

Comr. Ahemba described the insinuation as unfunded and pigments of imagination of opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a failed attempt to bring the administration of gov Sule to disrepute.

He said public were already aware of the unrelenting propaganda by PDP, regarding the ongoing proceedings of the Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal where it challenging the declaration of Abdullahi Sule of the ruling All Progressives Congress as winner of the March 18th Governorship election.

“Before now, the opposition party and its social media agents had based their propagandas on misleading publications which they usually sponsor in some sections of the media at the end of every sitting of the Tribunal to gain public sympathy.

“The new distractive strategy is on appointment of commissioners and special advisers, which is strictly within the purview of the Governor to decide when, who and where to appoint members of the State Executive Council.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Governor has already assembled highly experienced individuals with proven integrity and expertise and ready to help in driving his administration’s vision for appointment as Commissioners and Special Advisers,” he said.

Comr. Ahemba said the people of Nasarawa State have refused to be carried away by the media propaganda as they believed and appreciated the development strides of Gov Sule’s administration in the last four years, and sustained commitment to consolidate on the achievements.

“The electorates have freely given their mandate to Gov. Sule by voting massively in the recent Governorship election, as such, hence he will, by the grace of God, remain in charge of affairs for the next four years,” he said.

The statement call on the people of Nasarawa State to remain calm, as Gov Sule sends the list of the commissioner-nominees and special advisers to the State House of Assembly for screening and possible confirmation as required by law.
