Nasarawa Gov’ship poll: People’s will have been subverted – PDP 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nasarawa State, said the results and eventual declaration of Governorship election in Nasarawa State did not reflect the will of the people.

Mr Francis Orogu, PDP Chairman, Nasarawa state, said this while reacting to the outcome of the Governorship and State House of Assembly in the state on Monday in Akwanga.

According to him, his party PDP was leading with wide margin having won about six local government areas, only to upturned and robbed of victory after APC and his cohorts compromised elections process in Lafia and Awe Local government areas of the state.

The PDP Chairman said the party was preparing to see what it could be done collectively to restore the constitutional rights of the people of the state.

Orogu alleged that state government use state apparatus to rob PDP of victory and denied the people of the state the right to choose their leader.

“The actions and reactions of the people is expected in any normal society, everybody knows the consequences the action of APC in collaboration with some of security agents.

“You can see how APC leaders lined up as observers and were allowed by security agents to access collation centre but practically denied us entrance,” he said.

He further said that Keffi, Lafia and Kokona State House Assembly  candidates of PDP were robbed of their victories.
