The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has commended the synergy between the Police and other Security agencies in providing adequate security for the smooth conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly elections in Plateau State.
The IGP stated this today while briefing Journalists at the Plateau State Police Command headquarters in Jos, while on election monitoring to some states.
He noted that while coming down from Abuja through Kafanchan in parts of Kaduna state he saw the security personnel enforcing the vehicular movement restrictions and everywhere was peaceful.
“I have seen compliance in terms of restriction of movement, I have seen compliance in terms of people coming out to vote in orderliness and I have seen synergy among the security agencies in trying to police the election process.” The IGP said.
The IGP was in Jos the Plateau State capital on a patrol to monitor the election process across the country.
