Plateau: APC Guber Candidate Interface with Jos East Electorates

Ahead of the October dateline for commencement of campaign for the  2023 general elections, the Plateau State APC Gubernatorial candidate Dr Nentawe Yilwatda has interfaced with  electorates in Jos East Local Government Area.

The APC Gubernatorial flag bearer, Dr  Yilwatda who addressed electorates at the MDGs Hall Angware in continuation of his consultation, unveiled that his team decided to adopt bottom-top approach to meet with the people across the Wards and Polling Units in the State.

Report from Jos East local government council Information Officer, Yusufu Haruna Magit said, Dr Nentawe used the opportunity and appreciated delegates from Jos East for given him bloc votes during the primary election and solicited that the same team spirit be accorded him during the secondary election. 

The APC candidate pledged to live above board if given the mandate to govern the state.

The Gubernatorial candidate who was flanged by his wife, Dr. Martina Nentawe, his running mate, Pam Botmang, Director General, Generation Next Movement campaign Council, team members and party officials as well as supporters, pledged to address the state economy by deploying 10 percent of the state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to tackle issues of youths, women, and people living with disabilities.

Earlier, Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Yakuku Ezekiel, commended the APC Governorship flag bearer for choosing capable hands to champion the campaign team, and solicited that the major roads linking Jos East with the outside world be put into consideration when voted into office.

He showered accolades on the Lalong led rescue administration for placing its foot print in the sands of time.

Contributing, Director General of the Generation Next campaign council, Professor Sebastian Maimako who is the former Vice Chancellor, University of Jos, called on the people of Jos East and Plateau State to ensure their PVCs are handy to vote for Dr Nentawe in order to get the best of the dividends of democracy.

State APC Chairman Rufus Bature through the APC Northern Zonal Chairman, Agwom Atang Azi and State APC Women Leader, Alice Dimlong in their separate remarks said the campaigns are yet to commence but the need to interface with the people across the state to unite and support APC candidates to succeed in the 2023 general election.

Others who spoke at the event include, Jos East APC Chairman, Gideon Azi Nyako, Vice Chancellor, Plateau State University Bokkos, Professor Yohanna Izam, APC Candidate for Jos East State Constituency, Isah Madaki Ajiji, representatives of different APC groups among others. 

Highlight of the consultation was the commissioning of APC party office at Angware, jointly donated by the Vice Chancellor Plateau State University Bokkos, Prof Yohanna Izam, Markus Buba and Arum Ajiji,  while Asharuwa dancers spiced up the event.
