Dr. Patrick Dakum a key contender in the Governorship race in Plateau State has assured the people of his capability and readiness to govern the state if given the mandate.
Speaking to Daily News Breakers today shortly after a Radio program with RHYTHM FM in Jos, the Plateau State Capital, the aspirant noted that governance is a huge responsibility that one cannot succeed without God, hence his trust on God to consolidate on what the previous administration has done right from the time of JD Gomwalk, Lar and host of them.
“I have gotten experience in policy as a Commissioner in two Ministries, that is Information and Health, I have been a Chairman of Governing Board and have been member of Governing Board of Federal Universities and I believed that this is God’s way of saying that you need this experience for a bigger responsibility” Dakum added.
The former Commissioner for information expressed deep conviction that God has enabled him go through lots of experience both in public and private sectors as part of his preparation for this task.
According to him God has exposed him globally through NGO Community where implementation is a daily routine, checking input and outcome, adding that the exposure have taken him out of the country to several countries and have seen what is ideal.
He promised that as a leader if given the mandate, he will provide direction on the vision of the leadership where implementation shall involve experts, saying he has ideas on several sectors but will use experts from those sectors that will come up with idea that are details for the implementation.
Dr. Patrick Dakum who is a trained Medical doctor, said Plateau State is bless with experts, knowledgeable people whom he is going to use to move the state forward.
