CP Bassay Ewah has assumed office as the 46th Commissioner of Police of the Plateau State Command.
In his maiden press briefing held in Jos on Thursday, the new CP assured residents of Plateau State that security under his leadership would not be business as usual.
He said he would build on the already established peace in the state and work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.
“I charge all officers and men of this command to bring their best forward and work towards returning Plateau State to its original status as the Home of Peace and Tourism.
“We will strive to be dutiful, disciplined, and professional in the performance of our duties. We will work closely with the good people of Plateau State to identify and address security challenges, and we will not rest until our goals are achieved,” he said.
CP Ewah also emphasized the importance of inter-service collaboration with other security agencies, noting that he would sustain and strengthen partnerships at all levels of the command to ensure an improved security architecture for Plateau State.
“I am committed to serving the good people of Plateau State with integrity, professionalism, and dedication,” he added.
