The Bauchi State chapter of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed and people of Bauchi State on the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the creation of the State in 1976.
CCN, in a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman, Rev Prof Collins David Agbon, made available to Journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, stated that, it has been a wonderful journey of development and growth from a mere local government area under the administration of the defunct Northeastern state.
“It is even more delightful that Bauchi State is celebrating the Golden Jubilee during the administration of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as the Executive Governor”.
“It is indeed a Golden Jubilee marked with unprecedented infrastructure transformation of every facet of development, the State has therefore become an envy of its contemporaries and even older States.”
“More importantly is the religious freedom and tolerance being enjoyed under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.”
“Members of the CCN, who are part of the Christian community are appreciative and supportive of the administration in all ramifications, praying for more success and progress of the State.”
“As Bauchi State marks Golden Jubilee, we reassure His Excellency of our continous support and loyalty. As a community, we will continue to pray for divine intervention in all situations across the state. Happy Golden Jubilee to Bauchi State. May God bless the people and increase the peace we are enjoying” It said.
In the same vein, the State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), describe the development as, “Celebrating 50 Years of Progress, Unity and Peaceful Heritage.”
In a statement signed and issued by the State Chairman, Pastor Promise Nuhu Yohanna, PFN stated that, “On this momentous occasion of our State’s 50th anniversary, we, members of the Bauchi State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), reflect with pride, on five decades of growth and development, driven by His Excellency, Executive Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON, and the unwavering spirit of our people.”
According to PFN, “This Golden Jubilee is a testament to the vision of our founders and the collective efforts of every CITIZEN as is seen in the unprecedented infrastructural development across the State. Most significant is the peaceful coexistence among adherents of the two religions. Your Excellency has made inclusive governance so easy.”
“We pay tribute to the resilience and dedication of our people and the leaders who have guided us. This anniversary is a call to strengthen our bonds of unity and work together for the betterment of our communities and the entire state.”
“May this milestone inspire us to build an even brighter future, marked by continued progress and prosperity.”
