The Nasarawa State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu, Dr Labaran Magaji, has confirmed the receipt of 1,200 bags of rice palliatives for onward distribution to Renewed Hope supporters and ambassadors in the state.

Dr Magaji, who is also the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, confirmed this to newsmen on Tuesday in Lafia.

The Renewed Hope state Coordinator explained that the rice palliatives were a token of appreciation to the supporters and Renewed Hope ambassadors in the state.

According to him, the palliatives will be distributed across communities and wards in the state in the spirit of oneness.

“The Renewed Hope ambassadors in Nasarawa state appreciate the gesture of Mr President; the rice palliatives are not about how many bags we have received, but about the spirit behind it.

“So, we thank Mr President for remembering Nasarawa state,” he added.

Magaji solicited more support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)- led government of President Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi of the State.

He urged people of the state to sustain their support for President Tinubu beyond 2027, noting that he meant well for Nigeria and Nasarawa state in particular.

He highlighted development in the state, including the construction of the Lafia flyover and underpass, State Secretariat, Akwanga underpass, Keffi flyover and underpass, and the construction of two flyovers in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area.

“As a state, we are grateful to President Tinubu, who leads the Federal Government. We have seen and felt the dividends of democracy in this government. Recently, the federal government has awarded the Nasarawa-Toto -Abaji Road, and more are yet to come.

“The Nasarawa Government achieved all these infrastructural developments, initiated various youth and women empowerment programmes under our visionary leader, Gov Sule, because of the economic reform of President Tinubu.

“We are lucky that we have a governor who has a fear of God, who is very prudent in the management of the state resources, and who is leading by example,” Magaji said. (NAN)
