The Management of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, wishes to advise the public, especially its students, to be cautious of fake news from criminals attempting to defraud unsuspecting applicants of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
This warning follows a fraudulent statement falsely attributed to the Registrar of PLASU, Yakubu F. Ayuba, directing applicants to an illegitimate website for payment processing.
The university through its acting Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Masara Kim clarifies that the statement on a forged letterhead being circulated on social media did not originate from the Registrar’s office or any university entity and should be disregarded.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the official Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) website for accurate information on processes and loan disbursements.
