TETFund Renovates PLASU Career Service Centre

The Career Service Centre at Plateau State University, Bokkos, has undergone a significant transformation, through a refurbishment project funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

Statement by Jacob Ngwen for the acting Public Relations Affairs of the University, Masara Kim, said the renovated centre boasts a stunning new look, complete with a beautifully crafted sign bearing the university’s name in gold, reflecting the institution’s motto: “Knowledge, Diligence, and Integrity.”

The Career Service Centre was established to provide guidance and support to students in making informed career choices, ensuring they become relevant and employable after graduating.

The renovation project, executed by Todeland Construction Limited, included the construction of a fence, painting, and the installation of new ceilings, among other improvements.

While receiving the renovated facility on behalf of the university community, Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shedrack Gaya Best, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration Associate Professor Keziah Yiltohom Ayuba, expressed profound gratitude to TETFund for its timely interventions, which have significantly enhanced the university’s infrastructure.

Professor Best emphasized the importance of maintaining the facility properly to ensure its longevity. The university’s Director of Works and Physical Planning, Builder Sarah Tsemwan-Wayo, noted that the defect liability period for the project is six months.

The keys to the renovated Career Service Centre were formally handed over to the centre’s representative, Beatrice David Bitkob.
