Pictorial: Plateau Journalists drop pen, clean Jos City 

The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Plateau State Council has on Monday kickstart a weeklong activities to mark the 2024 Press Week in the State. 

First on the lists of activities as started was a sanitation exercise, where the Journalists dropped their pens and engaged in cleaning major streets of the Jos metropolis in collaboration with the Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency PEPSA.

The exercise started from the State Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, through Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Timber Shade around Murtala way and terminated at the roundabout of Tarminus market. 

The members in their union T-shirt, masked with facemask and hand gloves, cleaned the street and packed the dirt as the PEPSA dustbin evacuation truck was following and collecting with the support of staff of the agency. 

Chairman of the Council, Mrs. Ayuku Pwaspo led the members on the exercise with the support of former chairmen of the Council, Nde Katdaba Gobum, Paul Jatau and the National Auditor of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Mrs. Ladi Emmanuel.
