Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Peter Akwe, member representing Obi One constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has urged married couples to embrace patience, understanding and sacrifice as well as other good virtues for their marriage to be successful.
Dr. Akwe, the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture gave the advice
during the wedding of his Media Aide, Mr Samuel Osheka Peter and his beloved one Miriam Ayine Adeka at Church of Immaculate Conception Ombi 2, College of Agriculture, Student Village, Lafia today.
Akwe also urged the couple to embrace effective communication and avoid third party for their marriage to last.
” I want to congratulate my Media Aide, Samuel Osheka Peter and his wife, Miriam Ayine Adeka for their successful marriage.
” I want to call on them to be patient, show understanding and sacrifice as well as embrace love, unity, peace and other good attributes for their marriage to be successful” he said.
The lawmaker congratulated and wished them happy and blessed married life.
Besides, Hon Dr Akwe assured the people of his constituecy of good and sound representation at the state legislature.
In an interview, Mr Samuel Osheka Peter, the Groom thanked God for making their dream become reality.
He assured of their commitments to co-exist peacefully and prayed God to bless their marriage.
The Groom appreciated Hon Dr Ibrahim Peter Akwe, stakeholders and other well wishers for attending their weeding praying God to grant them safe journey to their various destinations.
Earlier, the Parish Priest of Church of Immaculate Conception, Ombi 2, Lafia, Rev. Fr. John Bala Akwe while presiding over the marriage ceremony, enjoined Samuel and Miriam to live in harmony and peace as well as show love to one another.
The Clergy while quoting various quotations in the Holy Bible, urged the couple to always abide by the teachings of God for their marriage to be successful.
” Marriage is an institution created by God. Marriage is good but you must follow the will of God for your marriage to be successful.
” Let your marriage be built on love, unity, peace, openness and sincerity for a happy married life” he said.
He also urged them to pray always, avoid gossip and third party in their marriage.
He also urged their families members to only support them positively not to destroy them with bad advices.
