Plateau State NUJ Releases Activities for 2024 Press Week 

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, has concluded arrangements for its 2024 Press Week.

Statement by Chairman of the planning committee, Mr. Pam Musa and secretary, Mr. Hosea Nyamlong said the week which promises to be unique, is scheduled to take place from September 9th to 15th, 2024.

The Press Week, according to the statement will commence on Monday, September 9th with a Community Service at the Jos City Center aimed at giving back to the society.

There will be a health talk and a free medical checkup for members and their wards on Tuesday, September 10. The well-thought-out programme is focused on promoting health and wellness among journalists and members of the society.

Wednesday, September 11, is reserved for a friendly football match between journalists and staff of Plateau United Football Club at the New Jos Stadium by 3pm. 

The grand finale of the week is Thursday, September 12, at Patrick’s Hall, Crispan Hotel Jos. It will feature a keynote  address, awards, and recognition.

Meanwhile, there will be Juma’at prayer in the afternoon of Friday, September 13, while the first ever Plateau NUJ Cultural Night is on September 14th. 

The press week will be rounded off on Sunday, September 15, with a Thanksgiving service.

The statement added that leadership of the NUJ Plateau State Council is soliciting the support and cooperation of members and Plateau citizens for the success of the Press Week.
