Dear Mr. President,
Re: Urgent Call to Avert Nationwide Protest and Address Grievances of Nigerians
I am writing to you with utmost concern and respect to bring to your attention the growing discontent and frustration among Nigerians, which may culminate in a nationwide protest if urgent measures are not taken to address the pressing issues.
Mr. President, the proposed protest is a clear indication of the widespread dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in our country. The grievances of Nigerians are genuine and multifaceted, ranging from economic hardship, insecurity, corruption, to social injustice.
I implore you to take immediate and decisive action to address these concerns, lest the protest leads to unintended consequences. I urge you to:
- Engage in open and inclusive dialogue with representatives of the protesting groups to understand their grievances and work towards a peaceful resolution.
- Implement policies and programs that alleviate economic hardship, create jobs, and stimulate growth.
- Take concrete steps to address insecurity, including the rising cases of kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism.
- Strengthen institutions and ensure accountability to tackle corruption and social injustice.
- Demonstrate leadership and empathy by acknowledging the suffering of Nigerians and committing to tangible solutions.
- Reduce the fuel pump price to a more affordable level, considering the current economic realities and the impact on the common man.
Mr. President, this is a critical moment in our nation’s history. I appeal to you to rise to the challenge and take bold steps to avert the protest and restore hope to Nigerians.
Sincerely,
Sylvester Iliya Yibis
