A former President of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN), Engr. Daniel Kadzai has congratulated the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day.
Kadzai while speaking on the Democracy Day, lauded President Bola Tinubu for keeping the country together, noting that as Nigeria celebrates the 25th anniversary of her democracy, he can only see hope and faith in the current leadership of Tinubu.
“It is not just enough to congratulate Nigerians on her 25th year of unbroken democracy anniversary, but to also assure my countrymen that this current leadership will bring us out of the woods.
“I want Nigerians to know that the attainment of this feat is due to the sacrifices of Nigerian heroes and nationalists, of which President Tinubu played a major part.
“It is evident that Nigeria is on a journey of irreversible economic growth and greatness among the comity of nations,” Kadzai said, adding that although the democratic journey has not been smooth sail in the past 25 years, however, there is no doubt that Nigerians are determined to defend her democracy notwithstanding.
He saluted the resilience of Nigerians who turned out to cast their votes for the sustenance of democracy year in and year out, including those who have died.
Engr. Kadzai who is also the National Youth Leader, Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians, added that no matter the inherent weakness in Nigeria’s democracy, which unconscionable people exploit for their selfish interest, the fact remained that democracy as a form of government, remained the best option for humanity as it guarantees freedom of choice, justice, fair play, equity and inclusion.
“Let me also pay tribute to Chief MKO Abiola GCFR for his sacrifice, which today June 12 we are celebrating. This is a clear confirmation that his sacrifice has not gone in vain. His spirits of selflessness, patriotism, and unity are worthy of emulation by all democratic leaders nationally and globally.
“It is an honor well deserved by Chief MKO Abiola of blessed memory and all lovers of democracy by the international community”, he said
The former YOWICAN President also lauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Nyesom Wike, for the developmental strides he brought to the FCT through his numerous projects, saying that the Wike has turned Abuja to a project center.
Kadzai did not forget to mention the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi who has ensured that road construction is executed with premium materials that will last for ages.
He praised the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who has embarked on comprehensive reforms in key sectors under his ministry to enhance their optimal capabilities.
Kadzai said all these and more are Tinubu’s Ministers who are ensuring that the President succeeds in his “Renewed Hope”mantra.
