Nasarawa Speaker Underscores role of Marriage to Mankind at CoS Wedding

Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has advised married couples to embrace patience, love, understanding among other good virtues of marriage.

The Speaker gave the advice at the traditional marriage of his Chief of Staff Mr Awuje Jacob Tsaku (Santali Bassa) and Miss Abigail Ageshen at Kurmi Kura, Bassa, Kokona local government area of the State 

Speaker Jatau also called on couples to always embrace forgiveness, unity and peace for the growth and progress of their family.

Jatau, who was  represented by the Managing Director of AA Ashangwa Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Adamu Bawa Maku, said that no marriage would be successful without patience, understanding and love, among other good attributes.

“I am happy to be here to witness the traditional wedding between Mr Awuje Jacob Tsaku and his Wife, Abigail Ageshen. 

“I want to advise Mr. Jacob and his wife, Abigail to embrace unity, peace, love, patience and understanding as well as tolerance among other good attributes.

“These are the basis for any peaceful home and successful married life,” he said.

He congratulated the couple for their successful traditional wedding and wished them happy married life.

Alhaji Esson, the representative of the bride’s family, said the family has received money and all items items needed as tradition demands have been paid.

Mr. Ahmadu Awuje, representative of the groom’s family, also confirmed the payment of money to the family of the bride and other items. 

Both representatives of the bride and groom prayed and wished the couple happy and blessed married life. 

Responding, Mr Awuje Jacob Tsaku, the Chief of Staff to the Speaker and Santali Bassa appreciated God for making their dream become a reality.

The couple appreciated the Speaker, Honourable members and others for their support to ensure the success of their wedding and other guests for gracing the occasion.

” I want to appreciate my boss, the Rt Hon Speaker, Danladi Jatau, Honourable members and others for their support to ensure the success of our traditional wedding.

” I pray God to bless them abundantly,” he said 

The Chief of Staff prayed God to grant them journey mercies to their various destinations.

The marriage was no doubt a unique day and fulfilments of a long awaited dream between Jacob and Abigail as they had the traditional Eggon marriage of beans presentation popularly called Ebekpen.
