350 Constituents Smiles Home with Plateau Speaker’s Empowerment Scheme

Three hundred and fifty constituents of Pengana Constituency of Plateau State have benefited from the Plateau State House of Assembly speaker’s empowerment scheme.

This was unveil at the distribution of the empowerment scheme by the speaker, Yakubu Sanda on Friday at GSS Zabolo, Bassa local government area of the State.

The beneficiaries who were full of gratitude to the speaker, promised to make judicious use of the items and prayed God to bestow His wisdom on him.

Other people who spoke separately during goodwill messages said the speaker has not disappointed his constituents and assured him of their support for him to succeed.

The empowerment program which was put together by the Speaker Yakubu Sanda in collaboration with the Plateau State Micro Finance Agency saw the over three hundred and fifty beneficiaries receiving twenty thousand naira each.

Apart from the cash support, the speaker also distributed 10 motorcycles for the same purpose.

Presenting the items,the speaker Yakubu Sanda said the gesture is in continuation of his previous empowerment programs aimed at reducing poverty in pengana constituency.

Sanda who reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful leadership, urged his constituents to use their diversity as source of unity and peaceful coexistence.

The speaker said his empowerment program will be sustained and expanded to accommodate more beneficiaries in Pengana constituency.

Representative of PLASMIDA,Victor Diyal said the agency will continue to partner with members of the assembly in actualizing its mandate of empowering the people.

Chairman of Bassa local government Council, Stephen Igmala represented by the Deputy Chairman, Joshua Ishaku lauded the Speaker for initiating the programs geared towards empowering people of the area.
