
Mr. Jeremiah Umaru (APC), House of Representatives Member representing Akwanga/Nassarawa-Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency has donated fertiliser and STD Sprayer to 1000 farmers in his constituency.
Speaking at the distribution on Friday at Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State, the member said the gesture was part of his effort to ameliorate the suffering being faced by the people of his constituency.
He explained that 20 bags of fertiliser and 20 STD sprayer would be given to each of the 35 electoral wards of the constituency.
Akwanga LGA has 11 electoral wards, Nassarawa-Eggon 14 and Wamba LGA has 10 electoral wards respectively.
The member also said that they have selected one widow from each of the electoral ward to benefit from the farm inputs.

He added that other stakeholders who are farmers and traditional rulers from the state constituency were also consider for the gesture.
The house of representatives member promised to deliver quality representation and do everything possible to better the living condition of the people of the area.
Umaru added that he has distributed 300 KVA transformers to three communities, installed 100 solar powered street lights and now fertiliser and STD sprayer to farmers just within two months.
“I have designed a comprehensive blueprint to tackle the numerous challenges confronting the people of my constituency.
“I have a programme to tackle the electricity problem, empower the youths and women, empower farmers to ensure food security, promote sporting activities among others,” he added.

The law maker further said that he has also sponsored six bills which had already passed first reading and one motion at the green chamber to attract federal government presence to his constituency.
The member promised that by the grace of God he would give the constituency the best representation they deserved to justify their vote at the polls.
He therefore promised to operate an open door policy and carry the people of the area along irrespective of their ethnic, religious or political party affiliations.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Samson Gamuyare, Chun Mada, Chairman Traditional Council of Akwanga LGA expressed gratitude to the member for the gesture.
The royal father advised the beneficiaries to use the items for the purpose it was given to better their lives and ensure food security in the state.
Earlier, Mr. Aliyu Barde, Acting State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) lauded the law maker for his effort in just few months in office.
The APC Chairman said the member is making the party proud and advice him to sustain the performance through out his first tenure.
The member was accompanied by Hon. Zakariya Dauda, Member representing Madagali/Micheka Federal Constituency of Adamawa State and Hon. Ja’afaru Gambo representing Bagoro/Dass/Tafawa Belewa Federal Constituency of Bauchi State. (NAN)
