
The Transition Implementation Chairman of Jos East local government area of Plateau State has made a passionate appealed to Government at all levels, Organizations and other Philanthropist to come to the rescue of Federe bridge in Jos East from total collapse.
The Chairman, Hon. Markus Nyam made the appeal when he visits the area to see the eroded bridge, where he expressed deep concerned over the state of the bridge.
Information Officer of the Council, Magit, Yusufu Haruna noted that the council Chairman observed that the bridge is at the verge of total collapsing due to heavy rains that has partly washed it away and needs urgent intervention to safe the people of the area and the Local Government headquarters from being cut away from other parts of the World.
The Chairman who was accompanied to the site by the Director of Works Housing and Transport, Engr Garba Isa Nzapima and other technical Staff of the Council, as well as the Ward head of Federe Agwom Pate had while pledging the Council’s commitment in tackling immediate problems affecting Communities in the locality said the bridge is the gateway to Angware, the seat of Government, hence the need for urgent mitigation measures to be taken.
In the meantime, the Transition Implementation Chairman of the Council, Markus Useini Nyam has donated a Public Address system to the Boys Brigade of Nigeria, Battalion Council Fobur.

The Chairman who was a special guest at the climax of events of the annual Boys Brigade camp which took place at Fobur said the gesture was to support them in boosting the propagation of the Gospel of Christ.
He said the Barr Mutfwang “time is now” led administration places high hope on the youths and encouraged them to be vanguards of discipline in the society by shunning restiveness and other vices, adding that as a Youth he would do everything possible to give a sense of belonging to the Youths while his administration last and however called on parents to provide all the necessary uniforms for their children to look smart.
In their separate remarks, Former Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nuhu Ayuba Abok and the Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Musa Ashoms both congratulated the Boys Brigade for successfully completing the annual Camp and called on them as soldiers of Christ, to imbibe the virtuous of peace and unity in their respective domains in other to make the society a better place.
On his part, the Cleric, Rev. Lazarus Daniel while thanking the TIC Chairman for the gesture done to the Boys Brigade and the support by the formers Speaker and the Commissioner, unveiled that Boys Brigade among other groups in the Church are the backbone of spreading the Gospel of Christ and their activities serves as a morel booster to the Church spiritual growth, hence the need for them to be steadfast, while pledging the Church’s support to them at all times.
The Boys Brigade Battalion Commandant, Azi Ishaya appreciated the Church leadership, the TIC Chairman and other guests for their support to the success of the event and pledged their quest to be agents of change in the society as well as prayed God to replenish them in abundance.
