2023: I Will Improve Plateau Central Zone -Diket

A leading Senatorial aspirant for Plateau Central senatorial zone, Hon. Diket Plang has pledged to combine his legislative and executive experience to lobby and bring projects that will have direct bearing for the zone if given the mandate.

Diket was speaking when he toured the fourteen Federal Wards of Kanam local government area to interact and solicit support of the party’s Exco’s at the ward and local government levels ahead of the All Progressives Congress APC Primary election.

The senatorial aspirant also used the opportunity and paid a courtesy visit to the highest traditional stool of Kanam and other traditional rulers of the area.

During the visit, the party’s Exco’s who spoke affirmed that the aspirant is been considered as the must suitable person for the job, due to his antecedents and experience as a former Councillor, former local government Chairman, former Commissioner, former House of Assembly member, former personal assistant to Governor Joshua Dariye, former Coordinator of National Poverty Alleviation in Plateau State, Board Member Plateau State University Bokkos and Special Adviser to Governor Simon Lalong.

In their separate responses, the wards and local government Exco’s of the APC in Kanam, assured the aspirant of their support to realize his ambition in the forthcoming party’s Primary election.

The senatorial aspirant, Diket Plang assured the Exco’s that he is capable both physically and knowledge wise, equip with experience and ready to serve the zone as the next senator come 2023.

Moving round the rural communities in the area, Diket said the land is blessed with mineral resources that if properly harness will benefits not only the communities but the entire state and the country at large. 

He pledged to lobby for constructions of bridges and roads network for socio economic development and security of the people. 

The senatorial aspirant also assured the Exco’s that he will also lobby for job opportunities and empowerment Programs to make the youths and women self reliance if elected. According to him, aside law making, legislative business is all about lobbying.

Diket said he deliberately carried his wife along to also familiarize her self with the people and the process in readiness for effective service delivery when elected.

The Emir of Kanam, Muhammadu Mu’azu Muhammadu II, while wishing the aspirant success, appealed to him to look into expansion of some of the roads and the full exploration of the recently discovered crude oil in the locality.

The campaign coordinator of the aspirant in Kanam, Alh. Abdullahi Musa popularly call “Kaura” pledged to deliver his candidate not only at the party’s primary but also at the general election come 2023.

Being a former Councillor, the campaign team of the senatorial aspirant who visited Kanam local government were largely former and present Councillors from the 5 local governments that made of the Plateau Central Zone and other important stakeholders from the zones.

The team was also at the Kanam local government council Secretariat where they also interacted with the Chairman, Alh. Dayyabu Garga, APC local government Party Secretariat and were welcome by the Chairman, Alh. Hussein Abubakar among other Exco’s.
