The National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has shun the current deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase and representative, Yusuf Gagdi from the 10th House of Representatives Speakership contest.
The Committee at its meeting today in Abuja, zoned the Speakership position to North West, specifically to representative Tajudeen Abass from Kaduna state while the Deputy Speakership goes to South East, specifically to Ben Kalu from Abia state.
Similarly, the Committee also zoned the Senate President position to Senator Godswill Akpabio, South-South and Deputy Senate President to Senator Jibrin Barau, North West.
In a statement by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka said the meeting was a follow-up to the earlier meeting held between the President Elect, Bola Tinubu and other stakeholders on zoning formula for the National Assembly Leadership.

Although this is not the first time the ruling party will zone positions but smart politicians always find their ways against the anointed candidates of their party, like the Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara cases in the past.
