
Nasarawa State Government says it has concluded plans to adopt the e- governance system for economic growth and efficient service delivery.
The State Head of Civil Service , Mrs. Abigail Waya gave this indication at the opening of a two day training for civil servants in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
Mrs. Waya said in the last three years, the state government had engaged all categories of its work force in series of trainings especially in Information and Communication Technology to expose the workers to the basic rudiments involved in the use of technology
She noted that the process of migrating to paperless system of doing business in government had reached advance stage considering the enormous resources committed to the programme.
Director – General of the state Bureau for Information and Communication Technology, Mr. Shehu Ibrahim stressed the need for all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs in the state to acquire functional ICT units in their offices to achieve success in the drive to e- governance.

Mr. Shehu Ibrahim explained that the adoption of e- governance would enhance transparency, boost confidence in government policies and programmes as well as cut down cost.
Over 107 civil servants drawn from the Nasarawa State Ministries, Department and Agencies MDAs participated in the training.
