
An All Progressives Congress, APC group known as Equity and Justice Forum, North Central zone has appealed to Leadership of the party to consider the current deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase for the 10th Assembly Speaker.
The group made the appeal today during a press conference at the Plateau State Council Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in Jos.
Reading the text of the press conference which was signed by Chairman of the group, Nuhu Ayuba Shikdima and Secretary, Alh. Ahmadu Babaranbi, the chairman said the group find the the deputy speaker more qualified to lead the 10th green chapter based on his wealth of legislative experience in 16 years.

“As a group we want to as a matter of concern and appeal to National Chairman of our Great Party and his entire Executive Council to consider our passionate appeal for the emergence of Rt. Hon. Idris Wase Maje as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
“The equity and Justice Forum wish to appeal to our President Elect and His Vice President Elect to throw their weight in the support of an experience legislator for the Speakership, this astute politician has exhibited high sense of loyalty to the Party and his principal during the 9th Assembly and has been a unifier in all ramification.

“We are also mindful of the Party’s consideration to give every geopolitical zone a position of leadership for equity, justice and fairness in governance. It is on account of this that we call on the Party leadership to consider swapping position that were hitherto in the North to the South and those that were in the South to the North. This will calm nerves were should there be any manner and form of distrust by any part of the Nation.
“This forum has thrown its weight solely behind Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase because of the wealth of experiences and positions he has held in life that has made him highly competent and equipped for such critical position which will in turn give credence good governance and development.
“At this juncture, as loyal members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), we are poised to humbly appeal to the conscience of our Party Leadership which are the National Executive of our Great Party and the National Working Committee of APC to consider the Man Ahmed Idris Wase for the leadership of the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.” The group added.

The group noted that their appeals goes with the fact that North Central Zone of the country need a reliable, ranking, loyal and experience legislator that will harness his wealth of knowledge of leadership and bring to bear a united governance in the country.
