
As political parties and their Candidates garners votes ahead of saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly Elections, Mrs. Yop Sarah Dakum wife of the Labour Party candidate has called on Plateau people to vote for her husband in view of his track record in family and community building.
Addressing members of Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Regional Church Council, Ropp today during their zonal fellowship at LCC Kufang, Mrs. Dakum said her husband, Dr. Patrick Dakum is not just a medical doctor, but also a home doctor that has succeeded and is still succeeding in healing many homes not only on the Plateau but the world at large.
“You remember many homes were restored through his radio program tag ‘Home Front’. Many families have testified and that has also restore harmony in families and the society at large.
“He is also a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years now. He is someone who loves children and respect women.
“For those of you who are COCIN members, if you are reading the COCIN devotional book and the Bible Study book, Dr. Patrick Dakum is the chairman of the committee that are writing those spiritual books.” She added.

She said as former Commissioner for Health and subsequently that of Information in the state, Dr. Dakum is aware of the challenges of governance and is fully prepared to confront it headlong with the help of God.
Mrs. Dakum, who is from Barkin Ladi local government, also used the opportunity to thank the Church for their prayers and urged the members of the congregation to come out en-mass and vote for her husband on Saturday 18th March 2023 so as to have their daughter as first lady in Plateau State.
Wife of the Labour Party governorship candidate called for calm, appealing to their supporters to be responsible in their conduct in the interest of peace before, during and after the elections.
Flanked by wife of the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party, Mrs. Veronica Longtang Pwajok, Mrs. Dakum appreciated the gathering for voting for the Labour Party candidates in the last election that saw their presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi winning Plateau State and appealed to them to repeat same for the party this coming Saturday’s election.
