Peoples Democratic Party PDP for Nasarawa South Senatorial District of Nasarawa State Mr Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo has been declared winner in the National Assembly elections.
Returning Officer of the election Professor Ahmed Yakubu Ashuku while announcing the results said Mr Ogoshi Onawo got 93,064 votes.
He stated that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC Senator Tanko Almakura scored 76,813 votes.
The results of the election was announced under tight security.
Meanwhile, Collation of results from the Presidential election in the State has resumed
The State Collation Officer Professor Ishaya Tanko adjourned exercise to Monday for continuation following non arrival of some local government collation officers.
