A political group named SSG Ambassadors has been called on to fully commit themselves to the realisation of the re-election of Governor Umaru Bago for a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Chairman, Advisory Board of SSG Ambassadors, Alhaji Abdullahi Wasagi, while describing the mandate of the SSG Ambassadors as a sacred responsibility that goes beyond ordinary political mobilisation, said “the group must serve as the grassroots vanguard that will consolidate the remarkable achievements of the present administration and ensure continuity of the progressive agenda currently being implemented in Niger State.
He made the call while fielding questions from newsmen in Minna, saying “we need to return Bago to office in the 2027 general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)”.
“Our primary assignment is clear: to see to the realisation of the re-election of our Farmer Governor, His Excellency Mohammed Umaru Bago, for a second term in 2027 under the banner of the APC.
“We must take the message of the New Niger Agenda to every ward, every polling unit, and every household.
“The people of Niger deserve the continuity of the good governance, agricultural revolution, infrastructural renewal, and people-centred policies that this administration has delivered.”
The Chairman then emphasised that Governor Bago’s leadership has redefined governance in the state through visible investments in agriculture, road infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and youth empowerment.
He noted that these accomplishments must not be interrupted, stressing that a second term would allow the administration to complete ongoing projects and deepen the transformation already underway.
Wasagi urged SSG Ambassadors to conduct themselves with humility, discipline, and respect while engaging the electorate. He charged them to sensitise communities on the tangible dividends of democracy under the Bago administration and to mobilise massive support for the Governor and all APC candidates from the governorship down to the local government levels.
“This is not about individuals; it is about the future of Niger State; we have a Governor who has walked the talk. From the agricultural revolution that has positioned Niger as a food basket to the urban renewal projects and the drive for investment, the results are evident.
“It is our duty as beneficiaries of this good governance to go back to our various communities, showcase these achievements, and ensure that the people return him to complete the good work.”
He expressed confidence that with collective commitment, dedication, and peaceful engagement, the APC and Governor Bago would secure a well-deserved mandate for continuity.
Wasagi also reaffirmed the Advisory Board’s full support for the SSG Ambassadors initiative and pledged continued guidance to ensure the group remains focused, effective, and loyal to the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Congress and the development agenda of the present administration.
