6 Pupils Kidnapped in Nasarawa State, Plateau Monarch Regains Freedom 

At least Six Primary School Pupils are said to have been kidnapped by gunmen in the early hours of Friday on their way to School in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Police in the state have confirmed the incident, saying the Children who are between the ages of Six to Eight were kidnapped about 7am on their way to School.

The unfortunate incident happened in Alwaza Village of Doma Local Government Area of the State.

The State Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel said a joint patrol team comprising Police and Military Personnel as well as Vigilantes have been deployed to comb bushes in the area to rescue the victims.

Meanwhile, the kidnapped Plateau First Class Traditional Ruler, Agwom Izere, of Jos East Local Government area, Rev. Dr. Isaac Wakili has regain freedom, hours after he was kidnapped by gunmen in the early hours of Friday.

Police Spokesman in Plateau State, DSP Alfred Alabo confirmed the released of the monarch in a statement to Journalists in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

He said in a relentless effort, the Police, other security agencies and security help groups strategized, swung into action and rescued the traditional ruler.

He added that two suspects in connection with the nefarious act have been arrested while Investigation is still in progress.

“However, the injured police officer had been taken to the hospital for treatment while the deceased corpse was deposited at a hospital for autopsy” said the PPRO
