The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has casted his vote at Polling Unit 008, Bakin Dutse, located at the Yelwan Duguri Model Primary School in his country home of Duguri District, Alkaleri Local Government Area.
The Governor arrived at the polling unit alongside the State’s First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, and members of his immediate family, where they underwent standard accreditation in compliance with electoral guidelines.
Speaking to journalists after voting, Governor Mohammed praised the orderly and peaceful atmosphere, commending electoral officials for their technical readiness and voters for their orderly conduct.
“I am deeply impressed by the seamless conduct of the voting process and the remarkable turnout of our people,” Governor
“It is especially encouraging to see so many women coming out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional rights” The Governor said.
The Governor restated his administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots democracy and upholding the rule of law.
He also urged political actors across the state to accept the election outcomes in good faith.
“Elections are not a do-or-die affair, our absolute priority must always be the preservation of sustainable peace, security, and the overall development of Bauchi State” he stated.
Also speaking to reporters, the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, celebrated the high turnout of women in the rural community and urged citizens to maintain order as the election moves into the crucial collation phase.
