Former President Jonathan Commissions 18 Township Roads in Bauchi, Applauds Gov. Mohammed

Former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has commended the Bauchi State Government for its infrastructural development, stating that the administration has delivered genuine democratic dividends to its citizens.

Jonathan gave the commendation in Bauchi metropolis during the official commissioning of 18 completed township road projects executed by Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration.

The roads, which span across the state capital and its outskirts, were inaugurated as part of activities marking the former President’s official visit to the state.

Addressing a gathering of government officials, traditional rulers, and residents, Jonathan praised Governor Mohammed’s sustained commitment to urban renewal.

“Within the span of over seven years, you have paid your dues of delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Bauchi State,” Jonathan stated.

He further urged the citizens to sustain their support for the current administration to guarantee long-term economic growth.

In his remarks, Governor Mohammed explained that the newly completed networks are part of a broader strategic intervention to eliminate the state’s historical deficit in road infrastructure.

He thanked the former President for his continuous support and praised Bauchi residents for their cooperation

.Providing technical details on the projects, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof. Saul Titus Ketkukah, noted that the 18 commissioned roads represent a fraction of the administration’s ongoing statewide infrastructure drive.

He emphasized that the projects have already significantly improved local commerce and daily living standards.

The event also featured goodwill messages from the Executive Chairman of Bauchi Local Government Area, Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar, and the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman

.Delivering the vote of thanks, the Emir of Bauchi, HRH Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, expressed gratitude to Governor Mohammed for prioritizing grassroots infrastructure and called for continued community prayers and stability across the state.
