NCDC congratulates new Aren Eggon on installation

The Managing Director, North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr Cyril Tsenyil, has congratulated Retired Justice Ahmed Ubangari -Alaku, on his installation as the Aren Eggon and Paramount Traditional Ruler of the Eggon Nation.

Tsenyil conveyed the congratulatory message on behalf of the Governing Board, management and staff of the commission in a statement issued on Saturday.

He described the installation of the former Chief Judge of Nasarawa State and the presentation of the Staff of Office by Gov. Abdullahi Sule as a well-deserved honour.

According to him, the new traditional ruler is a distinguished jurist, statesman and community leader whose life has been dedicated to the service of humanity and the advancement of justice.

The NCDC chief executive noted that the emergence of Justice Mari as the Aren Eggon came at a critical period when traditional institutions were expected to play greater roles in promoting peace, unity, security and development.

He expressed confidence that the royal father would deploy his vast experience, wisdom and integrity acquired during his judicial career to foster peace, justice, equity and fairness among his people and across the North-Central region.

Tsenyil also assured the monarch of the commission’s commitment to strengthening partnership and collaboration with traditional institutions in the region.

He said the NCDC remained committed to supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of traditional rulers to facilitate development and address socio-economic challenges in their communities.

While rejoicing with the new Aren Eggon, the NCDC boss prayed for a peaceful, successful and impactful reign.

He also prayed for God’s guidance, good health, wisdom and strength for the monarch as he undertakes the responsibility of leading the Eggon Nation and contributing to national development and cohesion. (NAN)
