The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Dr Labaran Magaji, was attacked by Hoodlums while on his way to the polling unit to cast his vote.
The convoy of the SSG, who is also the Coordinator of the Nasarawa State Renewed Hope Ambassadors, came under on Thursday in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The hoodlums who came in numbers destroyed two vehicles in the convoy, including the Renewed Hope Bus and the Bus that was conveying the SSG media crew.
The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Dr Labaran Magaji, however, escaped unhurt.
It took the combined efforts of security personnel attached to the convoy and the Toto Divisional Police Station to bring the situation under control.
Magaji, while reacting to the attack, urged the people of Toto Local Government and supporters of the governor’s preferred aspirant, Ahmed Wadada, to remain calm.
He described the attack on his convoy as an attack on democracy, saying that they aimed to disrupt the democratic processes in Toto Local Government Area.
The APC Governorship Primary in Toto Local Government Area however, was later conducted after the attack.(NAN)
