Nasarawa: APC Stakeholders in Jankwe Adopt Wadada as Preferred Gov’ship Aspirant

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jankwe Development Area of Nasarawa State have officially adopted Aliyu Wadada as their preferred Governorship aspirant ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The decision follows recent pronouncements by Governor Abdullahi Sule, who publicly indicated his support for Wadada to succeed him. The move is said to reflect growing consensus within the party at the grassroots level and signals efforts toward unity and strategic alignment ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking on the development, the Director General of the Nasarawa Geographic Information Service, Hon. Sunny Agasi, said the governor’s directive was guided by principles of equity, justice, and fairness. According to him, the decision was carefully considered to ensure inclusiveness and balance in the leadership transition.

Agasi noted that Wadada’s track record and experience position him as a capable candidate to sustain the achievements of the current administration, adding that the governor’s endorsement reflects confidence in his leadership ability.

Also commenting, the Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Barrister David Moyi, confirmed that the governor had given a clear directive backing Wadada. He said party loyalists and stakeholders in the legal sector remain aligned with the governor’s position and are committed to maintaining unity within the party.

Other stakeholders in Jankwe Development Area described the endorsement as timely and strategic, pledging to mobilize support for Wadada to ensure the APC remains cohesive and well-positioned for future political contests.
